I just got a great suggestion from private email - "Could all the composers enter their scary pieces anonymously so we can vote for the piece and not the person?"
Good idea, U.N. Known! Instead of attaching your piece to this forum, upload it through the DropBox. Don't use your real name, and make sure your file name begins with SCARY_. Example SCARY_Monsters.mp3, by Creepy Q. Crawley
I've updated the original instructions to reflect this change.
Thanks for the suggestion!!!!
The first two entries are in! Hold onto your hats, and listen to some scary music written by our secret composers. The identities of these composers will be revealed after the winners are chosen! Have fun ... and be sure and post your own scary piece to the Dropbox by midnight, Friday, October 25th!
1. Down the Cellar Stairs - by Wilhelm N. Sidius - For those wondering ... what's down the cellar stairs?
2. Conversations in an Asylum - by Nicholena Puccini - The inmates have secrets ... don't ask!
A third entry!! Don't get too scared ...
3. Trapped - by Peter Schackled - The bell tolls once, twice... It tolls for thee.
Entry number four! Your sanity will be seriously compromised!
4. The Mad Witch - by Sandor - Fire burn, and caldron bubble
Hello all ye Composition Procrastinators!
The time is upon us .... You now have a little more than 24 hours to upload your scary piece! You can do it!!!
We have some great entries. What do YOU have to say on the subject?
Entry number five:
5. Final Playdate - by The Boogie Man
Entry number six:
6. The Haunted Harpsichord - by J.S.B.L.Z. Bub - The Maestro meets The Monsters - who will win?
Entry number seven:

Thanks to the seven scary composers who wrote these incredible entries!
Now it's time to V-O-T-E!!!! Each person gets one vote, so use it wisely. You're welcome to get your ghoulish friends, neighbors, and house ghosts to cast a vote. Let's all support our great composers by giving them feedback!! All votes are ANONYMOUS.
Online voting will be open until 2:00 pm, Saturday, November 2nd. All pieces will be played for a live audience that same evening. Online and audience votes will be added together to determine the top three winners!
VOTE HERE: Scary! Vote
I've had a request that folks be able to view the results as they come in. Ok -- here they are! You can click on this link at any time to get the latest results.
AN EIGHTH ENTRY has just arrived, fresh from the other world ...

Note to the late* composer, Zom B. Apocalypse. It's not technically possible to add your entry to the voting list, now that voting is underway. However, everyone will get to hear it this week and folks can come to our concert and vote in person on Saturday November 2!
*Four days late! The deadline for entries was 10/25 midnight.
